The Indri, the largest living lemur, is a true icon of Madagascar’s rainforests, instantly recognizable for its teddy bear-like face and haunting, songlike calls that echo through the canopy. Sacred to local Malagasy culture, the indri is also one of the most endangered primates on earth, listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. With forests rapidly disappearing and populations in steep decline, its future hangs in the balance. This design captures the indri’s unique form in bold linocut style, with the conservation status as a stark reminder of what’s at stake. It’s both a tribute to Madagascar’s most famous lemur and a call to protect the forests that give it voice.
