The White Rhinoceros is the largest of all rhino species, a massive grazer of Africa’s savannas, with its broad, square lip perfectly adapted for feeding on grasses. Once on the brink of extinction, its numbers have rebounded thanks to intensive conservation, yet it remains listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List. Poaching for its horn and ongoing habitat loss continue to place enormous pressure on wild populations, especially the northern subspecies, which now survives only in captivity. This design captures the rhino’s unmistakable silhouette in bold linocut style, with the conservation status highlighted to remind us that progress in conservation must be protected. It’s both a celebration of resilience and a warning that even near recovery, this giant’s survival is never guaranteed.
